A little about me
Hi, I’m Debbie.
By day I’m a software developer and team manager, but honestly, the mentoring part is what feels most like me. Outside of work I’m usually cooking something, listening to a podcast, spending time with family, and lately, learning to garden (slowly, and with mixed results).
I made Katoikeo because the questions young adults carry deserve a quiet, honest place to be held, not answers handed down, just company as you dwell. I don’t have it all figured out. I’m walking this road too, still learning to dwell in truth, and I’d love to walk it with you.
The name
To dwell. To make a home.
Katoikeo (κατοικέω) is a New Testament Greek word: not just to live somewhere, but to settle in and make a lasting home. It’s the word Paul uses to pray that Christ would dwell in your hearts through faith (Ephesians 3:17): not a visit, but God making a home in you.
That’s the hope in the name: a settled faith, where truth can dwell in you and you can be at home in it.

Why it began
A quieter question
Katoikeo began with a question: what might happen if young adults were given a beautiful, honest place to slow down, without being sold a perfect life or pressured to perform?
